The Los Angeles Review of Books is very pleased to join forces with KCRW to present Jamaica Kincaid in conversation with Michael Silverblatt on March 26 in West LA. Get your tickets today!
This will be a candid conversation about Jamaica Kincaid’s new novel, See Now Then which presents an intense portrait of an inter-ethnic marriage. The ambiguities of race and family provide a field-day for a writer of Kincaid’s integrity, honesty, and ferocity. The dissolution of this fictional marriage provides a focus for a conversation about family bonds, interracial conflict and writing fiction. Tom Lutz, LARB’s founding Editor-in-Chief, calls See Now Then “the most important book of her career.”
The conversation will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.
